It’s Saturday night, April 10th, 2015 and I’m sitting in my apartment, eating rice and chicken (yum). That isn’t out of the ordinary. However, the where may be a bit unique.
You see, for the past 4+ months, I’ve lived in The Land of the Rising Sun, Japan. Wow, and what a couple of months it has been already! Sometimes when I’m riding my bike around the rice fields, or I’m on the train going to Tokyo for the day, or even just walking on my street at night and looking at the stars above, I happily ask myself – Berto, how did you end up here!?
I’m writing this blog not to tell you the story of how I got to Japan. Granted, it’s a damn good story 😉 , but it’s not really that important. What is important is to share the countless sights, the unforgettable memories, the crazy stories, the inevitable heartbreaks, the tough decisions and the precious lives that I’ve encountered along the way.
I am a man of many hobbies and interests, and so they will show up here too. From pro-wrestling to Hip-Hop, from learning Japanese to teaching English, all I can say is to expect the unexpected. My life has truly been Rated アル!
